Accessibility Statement

Bildr Labs Pty Ltd wants owner-builders to be able to use the platform regardless of disability, device or input method. Accessibility is part of how we design and review the product, not a separate add-on.

If something on bildr.au prevents you from completing a task, tell us. We will review the barrier and work with you on a practical way to access the information or function.

Our target is Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG is an internationally recognised accessibility standard. The Australian Human Rights Commission's equal access guidance explains its relevance to the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth).

This describes a target, not a claim that every Bildr page or third-party service currently conforms. Automated checks alone cannot establish conformance, and the product has not yet completed an independent WCAG audit with people who use assistive technology.

• Page structure: marketing pages include a skip link, headings and semantic landmarks to make repeated navigation easier to bypass.
• Keyboard and focus: shared controls use native buttons and links, visible focus styles and keyboard-aware dialog focus management.
• Labels and errors: shared form controls support associated labels and text-based validation errors rather than relying only on colour.
• Responsive layouts: public and authenticated layouts are designed for mobile, tablet and desktop widths.
• Motion preferences: core styles reduce or remove non-essential movement when the browser requests reduced motion.
• Document review: extracted plan findings are presented as text and form controls so they can be reviewed without relying only on a plan image.

Some areas need further testing and improvement:

• Conversation updates: new messages or changing processing states may not be announced consistently by every screen-reader and browser combination.
• Dense project records: budget, timeline and comparison views contain a large amount of structured information and may require extra navigation with some assistive technologies.
• Uploaded plans: a plan drawing is visual source material. Bildr extracts findings into text, but cannot provide a complete non-visual equivalent of the original drawing.
• Generated files: free raw JSON exports are machine-readable records, not formatted accessible reports. The manually prepared Premium Project Pack may still need an alternative format for a particular user.
• Third-party services: hosted Stripe checkout and other provider interfaces follow the provider's accessibility implementation and can behave differently from Bildr.

Include the page, task, device, browser and assistive technology involved if you are comfortable doing so. Do not include passwords, payment-card details or other secrets. We review reports according to their impact and will discuss an accessible alternative where one is needed.

We review accessibility as the product changes and will update this statement when our testing, target or known limitations materially change. Independent review and feedback from people who use assistive technology are important parts of that work.
